Do not pay a £4 ‘surcharge’ for the ZEZ if asked to do so by your taxi driver

Unless your taxi drives along one of the roads marked in red below, the driver has not been required to pay to enter the ZEZ and you should NOT be being asked to pay more for your journey.

Drivers may be confused about where the boundary is on Market St, or they may just be trying to take advantage of you. 

If in doubt, you can point out the sign to them outside Boots, which shows that the entrance to Northgate Health Centre lies outside the ZEZ.
